Accuracy
Temperature readings are within ±1.8°F in our testing, which is more than adequate for BBQ monitoring. It’s not a substitute for a precision instant-read like the Thermapen, but for ambient pit monitoring and keeping tabs on multiple proteins it’s entirely accurate enough.
App Experience
The ThermoPro Barbecue app connects in seconds, displays all four probe readings simultaneously with color graphs, and lets you set custom alerts per probe. Temperature alerts actually work reliably — which sounds basic but isn’t always guaranteed with budget Bluetooth thermometers.
Limitations
Bluetooth only (no WiFi), so you need to stay within 500 feet. Probes are rated to 572°F — enough for smoking but not for high-heat grill surface measurements. Battery powered (AAA), which means no USB charging.
